The disciplinary committee of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) dismissed cases between Jomo Cosmos versus Black Leopards and United FC versus Black Leopards during its sitting that was held at the league's offices on Monday evening.
The first case relates to an incident which took place during the National First Division League match between Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos at the Tshifulanani Stadium on Saturday, January 15. Jomo Cosmos lodged a protest with the match officials before the game started.
In the protest, Cosmos alleged that one of the Leopards players, Edgar Manaka, was not properly registered with the club. United FC also lodged a similar protest about the same player, when they played against Black Leopards at the Tshifulanani Stadium on Saturday, February 5.
During all the sittings, Leopards argued that the disciplinary committee had no right to hear the merits of the cases, since these were not properly lodged.
The committee finally succumbed to Leopards' argument and dismissed the case during its sitting on Monday evening. The case against United FC was also dismissed for the same reason.
In an interview with the managing director of Cosmos, Mr Ephraim "Jomo" Sono, he indicated that he was going to file an appeal against the disciplinary committee's decision.
