Development at the four villages of Mafunzwaini, Vhutshavhelo, Makanga and Nesengani has taken a snail's pace, following the splitting of the Nemasera Civic Association.
According to the former general secretary of the association, Mr Samuel Matodzi, the association was formed about eight years ago. Several developmental projects, including the water supply scheme, came as a result of the efforts made by the association during its time of existence. According to Matodzi, things turned bitter when some of the civic association members decided to go their own way.
"The division among the association members affected development a great deal in the area as we could no longer speak with one collective voice when we approached the government structures like the municipality," said Matodzi.
