Veteran boxer Norman Tshisikhawe has turned down an offer to become a judge for the World Boxing Federation.
Tshisikhawe (39) was offered an opportunity to become a judge by WBF president Howard Goldberg.
Goldberg, who is also a championship committee member, approached Tshisikwawe after he lost a WBF junior welterweight title fight against Humbulani Netshamutshedzi in the Thohoyandou Town Hall a fortnight ago. Goldberg told Tshisikhawe that he was impressed with his performance on the night, "but if you are willing I am prepared to help you become a judge."
Goldberg added that Tshisikhawe could become a very good judge and if he took the opportunity, he would not be lost to boxing after retiring. Tshisikhawe confirmed that he was not going to take the offer, because "there is no money in that role."
