The National First Division teams will play their last league matches for the season this weekend.
Thohoyandou Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity on Sunday afternoon for the match between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Richards Bay FC. The result of the match will decide whether TTM will partake in the promotional playoffs.
The Tshakhuma side are now in the third spot on the log. TTM and Ajax Cape Town both have 48 points. Ajax are in the fourth position because they scored one goal fewer than TTM. The local lads must score at least two goals against Richards Bay to put more pressure on Ajax.
TTM's marketing manager, Mr Livhuwani Madzuhe, said that all their players were available for selection. He appealed to the fans to come in their numbers, saying admission would be free, just like in their last three home matches.
He also stated that they had organized several local musicians who would be entertaining the fans before the game and during the half-time break.
TTM beat Richards Bay 1-0 in their first-round league match at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay five months ago.
Richards Bay must keep a watchful eye on the TTM's strikers, Edward Maqele, Phumelele Bhengu and Nhlanhla Mgaga, or else they will never know what hit them at the end of the game.
TTM's defenders, Lehohang Mabotja, Patrick Meso and the team's Zimbabwean skipper, Carlington Nyadombo, will be there to ensure that their danger area is always clean.
The NFD's pace setters, Stellenbosch FC, will host Joel Masutha's Maccabi FC at the Cape Town Stadium. A draw against Maccabi will be enough for Stellenbosch to gain automatic promotion to the elite league.
The other fixtures are: Witbank Spurs vs Jomo Cosmos, University of Pretoria vs Cape Umoya United, Uthongathi vs TS Galaxy, Mbombela United vs Ajax Cape Town, Ubuntu Cape Town vs Royal Eagles and TS Sporting vs Real Kings.
