Former programme director at Thohoyandou Victim Empowerment Ms Fiona Nicholson writes:
It is with much regret that I write this letter as I find it abhorrent to air such matters in the public arena.
However, I have no option because TVEP's acting director [Mr Tshilidzi Masikhwa] has taken it upon himself to circulate a defamatory letter claiming, overall, that I am no longer a Trustee of the Thohoyandou Victim Empowerment Trust and am therefore not permitted to represent them.
This is entirely and irrefutably untrue, as evidenced in the attached Letter of Authority from the Master of the High Court. I resigned from the position of programme director, not as a trustee, and am therefore legally mandated to represent the organisation as and when necessary, and no-one - least of all a mere member of staff - can determine otherwise.
(When contacted for comment by Limpopo Mirror, Mr Tshilidzi Masikhwa responded that he and the board of trustees were not keen to respond to Ms Nicholson's open letter, since the board had serious business to attend to.)
