The case against the two suspects who had allegedly instructed students preparing for their matric examinations last year to remove their clothes before robbing them has been postponed to 2 May for further police investigations.

Out on bail, the two suspects were arrested again after being caught by members of the community while allegedly committing business robberies at Ngovhela village last year. They will remain in custody until their next court appearance.

Mulaifa Sikhipha and Shumani Ndlovu appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 18 April. In the first case, the two were charged with armed robbery, eight counts of house robberies, and three counts of sexual assault. Most of the charges they are facing relate to armed robberies committed at different schools in the area, where they allegedly stole cellphones, laptops, and clothes. They are now also charged with business robberies committed at Ngovhela village while they were out on bail.

On 19 November 2023, the duo, also known as "the pervert robbers", allegedly pounced on matriculants studying at the church, not only robbing them but also ordering them to undress and play with their own private parts.
