The well-known reggae guru Colbert Mukwevho is calling on all lovers of his music to buy their tickets and come and enjoy the vibe at the ninth Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival at the Nandoni Royal Gardens on Saturday, 16 September.
Mukwevho is gearing up for an energetic live performance at the show. "All I can say is that I always go all out. My performance will not disappoint," he said. This will also be the ninth time that Mukwevho performs at this festival.
According to Mukwevho, this event has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, firmly placing the province on the entertainment map. He said he was fortunate to have received a lot of love from the locals, although his fanbase extends all over the country. "Even people who do not understand Tshivenda like my music, and I am grateful for that," he said.
Another artist who will be performing at the festival, Rumba sensation Zozo, said that the kind of music he performed encouraged, understood, and promoted respect within all cultures. "I am very excited about performing at this festival. My fans will enjoy only the best music," he said.
The spokesperson for the event, Mr Divhambele Mbalavhali, assured music lovers that it will be the best show ever and that they can expect only the very best from each one of the performing artists. Other well-known artists who will be gracing the stage include the legendary Makhadzi, Zimbabwean star Leonard Zhakata, Benny Mayengani, DJ Jones, Sengere, Vhuyi the DJ, Rofhiwa Nethwadzi, and many more.
Mbalavhali warned those who buy their tickets on the black market not to waste their time coming to the show as they will not be allowed inside.
Tickets costs R230 per person, for both the gospel and heritage festival.
