Limpopo police are searching for a 14-year-old girl from Mulodi village in the Vhembe District who disappeared shortly after telling her mother that she wanted to speak to her. Wavhudi Thabela, 14, was last seen at her home on the evening of 7 July.
According to police, she knocked on her mother's bedroom door at about 19:30 and said she wanted to talk to her. Her mother, who was on a phone call at the time, asked Wavhudi to wait until she had finished.
About five minutes later, the mother went to look for her daughter, but she was nowhere to be found. Relatives immediately searched for Wavhudi at the homes of friends and family members, but were unable to find her. Police said she was wearing a black shirt and brown sandals when she disappeared.
Mutale police have appealed to anyone with information about Wavhudi's whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Constable Confidence Makananise, on 063 681 4465. Information can also be reported to Crime Stop on 08600 10111, at the nearest police station, or anonymously through the MySAPS app.
