The case of intimidation against a former mayoral committee member (MMC) in the Vhembe District Municipality (VDM), Mr Ndivhuwo Calvin Radamba (38), was struck off the roll from the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The case of intimidation against a former mayoral committee member (MMC) in the Vhembe District Municipality (VDM), Mr Ndivhuwo Calvin Radamba (38), was struck off the roll from the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

This comes after the complainants, the executive mayor of the Vhembe District Municipality, Dowelani Nenguda, and Thulamela Mayor Avhashoni Tshifhango had apparently approached the state prosecutor, saying that they were unwilling to continue with the matter.

Radamba was accused of sending intimidatory video clips of a gun firing bullets to Cllrs Nenguda and Tshifhango. The two then opened cases of intimidation with the Thohoyandou police.

Calvin Radamba formed part of the VDM's mayoral committee but was recalled during the sitting of the Council on May 31. He was arrested in June by the SAPS's Provincial Investigations Unit and Tracking Team at his home in Polokwane, after he had allegedly sent intimidatory video clips to the two mayors.

The video clips show a firearm being loaded automatically and then discharging bullets. A struggle song is also playing in the background.
