Rainbow collected the maximum points against Tshiozwi Dynamos, when they beat them 2-1 in their MMK Administrators League match at the Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.
What makes the victory sweeter for Rainbow is that only nine players pitched up for the game and everyone played his part to overcome the disadvantage.
It was evident from the start that Rainbow were going to collect full points as the Dynamos were outclassed in all departments. Dynamos' Hlamulo Ndlovu caused an upset when he shot wide from close range after receiving a pre-cooked pass from Mashudu Nengovhela.
It took Rainbow 25th minutes to open their account. Their all-rounder, Sampson Mudau, was on target, following a neat pass from Listhani Mamutshedi. Khuli Ramudzwagi of Dynamos was reprimanded with a card for dangerous play on Stephens Mudau in 30 minutes into the game.
In the second half, Rainbow scored their second goal via Masala Mavhunga. He won the ball just behind the centre line and ran towards the right corner from where he dished up a square pass to Dakalo Vhambani. Vhambani beat the Dynamos keeper, Vhuthu Netshiombvani, with a ground cutter to give his side a 2-0 lead.
Velaphi Mphaphuli of Dynamos was brought down in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Nyathi Netshiendeulu converted to bring the full-time score to 2-1.
