Mamelodi Sundowns striker Rodney Ramagalela encouraged young children to participate in sport. He addressed players and guests during the prize-giving ceremony of the Ramagalela U/17 tournament at Mabvuka last Saturday.

Ramagalela sponsored the tournament. He said he was a proud supporter of local football development and said Limpopo was rich in talent and "we have over the years seen many talented soccer players being unearthed from this province". He said that he would like to continue to develop the relationship with development teams and provide something tangible that the people will value.

Mr Thanyani Khantshi stated that the government could not curb the high rate of unemployment alone. He appealed to the business community to follow in the footsteps of Ramagalela, saying sports had become a major employment provider of late. He mentioned that football was a good vehicle to fight unemployment and poverty.

Mabvuka All Stars were crowned as the champions. They went home with a new soccer kit and a floating trophy.
