Local reggae artist Muthelo Clement Nevari, known in the music industry as Ras Clemy, released his third album, titled "Ro da shangoni", on Thursday, 31 August, which also happened to be the artist's birthday.

Ras Clemy cut his teeth in the music industry when he started a musical group called the Bros Weillars with his two friends Rotondwa and Zwivhuya Khorommbi in 2014. They recorded their first album, "Shango li khou fhela", in 2015, but sadly the group split up in 2017 after one of their performances at a gig in Musina. "We had a misunderstanding about the money we were paid after our performance and decided to split, and I had to go solo," he said.

He recorded his first solo album, "Nzhoroma", with Roy Mulibana as a backing vocalist in 2017. In 2018, he released his second album, called "Nyendavhusiku". Unfortunately, Roy Mulibana passed away in 2020, and Ras Clemy had to take a break from his music for a while.

His most recent offering contains six jamming tracks, including "Khavhari khathutshele", "Mbilu yanga dzikai", and "Masheleni".

Ras Clemy has worked with several artists from South Africa and abroad. In 2020, The Natty Lions futured him in three of their songs on their album "Huna ndado shangoni". In 2022, he collaborated with Zimbabwean star Tongai Gwaze, popularly known as Greatman, when they recorded two songs, called "Hupenyu" (which means life), and "Dzidzo" (which means education). This collaboration with Greatman allowed him to perform outside South Africa as he performed in Zimbabwe for the very first time.
