According to the MEC's spokesperson, Mr Mbangiseni Masia, the granny's name gets put onto a list of more than 1,49 million people across the country and more than 130 000 in Limpopo who have benefited from the provision of houses in the past ten years.
Residents who benefited from the 400-house project are from Gaula, Mhlaba Willem, Mninginisi and Mapayeni villages under the greater Giyani municipality. "This is one of the many achievements that we are proud of. Our first decade of democracy is meaningful to a significant number of our poor, whose dignity has been restored. Some have for a long time, through no fault of their own, lived in unbearable conditions," Masia said.
