After losing their matches against Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns, Black Leopards have a steep mountain to climb.

Lidoda Duvha lost 1-2 to Maritzburg United at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday and suffered a similar defeat to Sundowns at the same venue on Tuesday evening.

Mwape Musonda scored their solitary goal against Maritzburg while Tumelo Khutlang scored against Sundowns.

Leopards must collect at least four points in their remaining two league matches. The Thohoyandou outfit are now lying in the third position from the bottom of the log following the two defeats. They have 26 points, three more than the team at the bottom, Maritzburg United and two ahead of Chippa United.

The team that will be at the bottom of the log at the end of the season will be relegated to the National First Division. The second last team on the log standings will partake in the promotional playoffs together with two teams from the NFD.

The reality now is that Leopards must beat Amazulu tomorrow and wish that the other relegation candidates, Free State Stars, Chippa United, Baroka FC and Maritzburg United drop points in their matches.

Leopards will undertake a journey to Durban tomorrow where they will wrestle for points against Amazulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium. Their top goal scorer, Mwape Musonda, is a doubtful starter in tomorrow's match. He was replaced with Themba Ndlovu in their game against Sundowns after sustaining an injury.

Kaizer Chiefs will entertain Free State Stars at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. Baroka FC will visit Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United will host Supersport United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.

The other fixtures are Polokwane City vs Chippa United, Highlands Park vs Bloemfontein Celtics and Cape Town City vs Orlando Pirates.
