The names of the nine Safa Vhembe teams that will represent their respective streams in the regional promotional playoff games will be confirmed this Saturday. The playoff matches will be played at three different venues.
Three fixtures are scheduled for Malamulele Stadium, where Magomani All Zones and Langutani Blue Birds will be the first to take to the pitch. Magomani All Zones finished their league campaign unbeaten this season. The team's head coach, Mr Eric Ramavhale, said they intended to "continue from where we left off in our league programme" on Saturday.
Tshamutilikwa Fire Boys will meet Ngwenani Young Chiefs in the second match, scheduled to kick off at 13:00. The last fixture of the day at the venue will see Makonde FC face Malavuwe Great Movers.
At Tshifulanani Stadium, the programme will begin with a clash between Vhembe Tron and Shayandima Dynamos. Madombidzha Try Again will meet Ramahantsha Blackpool at 13:00, followed later by a match between SM United and Mashamba Soccer Academy.
Eagles United and Rabali Pull Together will be in action in one of the three matches to be played at Makhuvha Stadium. The other fixtures at this venue are Tshitavha Brave Lion vs ABC FC, and Berea FC vs Muswodi Happy Fighters.
According to the general secretary of the league, Mr Samuel Matodzi, no club will be permitted to lodge a protest or complaint related to player registration during the playoffs.
Matodzi said this year's overall champions would receive R60,000, gold medals and a floating trophy. The runners-up will walk away with R40,000 and silver medals, while the two semi-final losers will each take home R20,000. The final is scheduled to take place at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, 5 July.
