In a move to grow his footprint, acclaimed producer and artist Hulisani Masakona (32), known as Lutroo Da-Music, has signed with artist manager Rita Dee Nephawe, also known as Rita Dee Diva.
In an interview with Limpopo Mirror, Rita Dee celebrated her newest signing, describing the move as game-changing and set to ignite the South African music scene. The partnership, which follows her recent high-profile promotion of the artist in studio sessions and performances, is expected to catapult Lutroo to new heights in 2026.
Commenting on Lutroo Da-Music’s unique sound, Rita Dee said it caught her attention in November 2025. “The sound resonates like international Afro beats with Amapiano and three-step in one genre, which was the first time I heard an artist with such an amazing voice. Working with Lutroo has opened my eyes and made me realise that the live band sound should be kept alive and his sound should not be commercialised but treated on a global level,” she said.
Rita Dee added that things are beginning to take shape, with a new project already released.
Lutroo said he was excited about the partnership. “Rita Dee and I met at her R&B and Soul Linkup event at Khoroni. This is where I got to see the way she does her thing. The idea of us working together got more and more comfortable as time went by and eventually the conversation on working together came up and this is where we are today. She is literally the best manager I have ever worked with. She is hands-on and makes things happen,” he said.
