Rockers FC were by far the better side when they crushed Shayandima Disco Five 3-0 in their MMK Administrators Soccer league match at the Makwarela Stadium on Saturday.

Disco Five approached the game aggressively, trying to intimidate the opponents with their rough skills. The referee, Mr Eric Munyai, kept the situation under control by flashing two yellow cards in quick succession. David Nekhavhambe was booked for a late tackle on Ntsieni Nengovhela in the ninth minute.

The opening goal for Rockers came in the 18th minute. Mashudu Radzilani dribbled past a number of opponents before showing the keeper the wrong way. Disco Five were reduced to 10 men in the 29th minute. David Nekhavhambe found himself on the wrong side of the law again. He obstructed Mulalo Kudzingana just outside the penalty box. The referee did not hesitate to send him off, as that was a second bookable offence.

Another player of Disco Five, Takalani Mukwevho, was booked for rough tackling towards the end of the first half. Rockers enjoyed their 1-0 lead until the proceedings for the first half came to an end.

Rockers failed to punish Disco Five, despite the fact that the visitors lost shape in the middle of the park. Things turned against Disco Five when they were reduced to nine men in the 59th minute. Takalani Mukwevho saw red after pulling Matika Sithakha's jersey.

Both sides effected some changes to their starting line-up, but that did not change the complexion of the game. Unarine Kudzingana was on target to make it 2-0 in the 68th minute. Disco Five continued to play attacking football, despite the fact that they were two men down. They conceded a third goal in the dying minutes when Vhugala Singo scored from a rebound.
