Teams competing in the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League will play their final league matches of the current season this weekend. All matches are scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The spotlight will be on the match between Rodadau FC and Phomolong Ladies, taking place at the Tshitungulwane Grounds outside Vuwani. Both teams must secure maximum points. Not only does Rodadau need to win the match to secure a place in the provincial promotional playoffs, but they must also score at least 10 goals during the game.
Currently, Rodadau is tied with Two For Joy Ladies and Sisters FC, all on 41 points. Two For Joy lead because of their superior goal difference.
Rodadau have demonstrated their ability to score more than 10 goals in a game before as evidenced by their 19-0 victory against the same team during their first-round league match at Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa on Saturday, 6 May. On the other hand, Phomolong Ladies must win the match at all costs to avoid relegation. Phomolong Ladies are at the bottom of the league table with only four points.
In other matches, Lacoste Morning Stars will face Real Mighty Ladies at the Shayandima School Grounds. Merwe United Ladies will visit Sealene Ladies at Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa.
Sisters FC, another title contender, will host Masakona Liberty Experience at the Bolobedu Grounds outside Tzaneen. Liberty Experience is also struggling to avoid relegation, currently sitting third from the bottom of the table with six points. Tshandama Young Stars are preparing for a challenging game against Two For Joy Ladies at the Tshandama Grounds in the Mutale area.
