Popular gospel and reggae musician Rofhiwa Nethwadzi continues to share uplifting music and messages.
Known for hit albums such as Mbofho dzo fholowa, Mudifho Fhedzi and Ndi nne onoula, he has bounced back strongly with the release of his third reggae album, Misiyothe. The 18-track project, released in August 2025, features collaborations with Gera Beatz, Jininka, Topchanoula, G Voice Nekhumbe and Micah Da Music.
Speaking about his latest work, the Tshiheni-born musician described the album as a "masterpiece, both informative and entertaining".
"I do not just sing and compose music for the sake of it, I compose meaningful lyrics that fans could relate to their daily lives. Misiyothe is about love, we should all love each other no matter what comes. Love is a commitment that should not be violated. I can tell you all tracks are heavy and one never stops listening to all songs. I encourage all to have this one for their own benefit," he said.
Nethwadzi's new release has already made a strong impression on listeners.
"I am receiving heaps of praises from the fans, a direct testimony that I have not lost track and also that I am still the darling of many," he said.
Born at Tshiheni, outside Thohoyandou, in 1990, Nethwadzi began singing at the age of 13 as a UAAC choir leader in the Soweto district. His debut gospel album, Iwe Jeso, was released in 2018, followed by Mbofho dzo fholowa, before he ventured into reggae in 2021.
Among his career highlights are performing on SABC's Morning Live in 2022, at Miss South Africa Ndavi Nukeri's homecoming at Meropa Casino, and at the Phalaphala Royal Heritage events in 2023 and 2025. He also made his debut at the Mapungubwe Arts Festival in 2023 and performed at the Marula Festival in 2024.
