Last weekend saw the resurrected Rospa United collect one vital point. They came back from a 0-2 half-time deficit and held Blue Rocks to a 2-2 draw in their Vodacom Promotional League match at the Tshifulanani Stadium on Saturday.
The Tzaneen side played attacking football from the start, and they were duly rewarded by James Maake and Daniel Kekana's goals in the 17th and 27th minute respectively.
The head coach of Rospa United, Mr Joel Masutha, did not press the panic button. He changed the team's playing pattern in the last half. That proved to be a clever move as they managed to score two goals through Mashudu Mashapha and Mduduzi Skhakhane, to bring the final score to 2-2.
In another match, Phungo All Stars received the shock of their lives. They were brutally walloped 1-5 by the Dolphins at the Seshego Stadium. The pace setters, Baroka FC, gave away league points when they lost 0-2 to the other title chasers, Winners Park, at the Jane Furse Stadium in Sekhukhune.
In their match that was played at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in Modimolle, Modimolle Aces beat Magezi FC and moved two steps up on the log. Nobela All Stars came back with three points in hand from their away fixture against Mighty FC, whom they crushed 4-1.
Giyani Hotspurs managed to beat Super Eagles 4-1, while Dinare collected full points, following their 1-0 win over Basel FC. Lephalale Young Killers beat Fanang Diatla 3-2 at the Mogol Stadium in Lephalale.
