Ndwamato David Makhavhu was arrested on October 4, after the arrest of another suspect, Muvhango Lecton Rabulanyana, on Thursday, September 28. Vehicle parts were found in Rabulanyana’s possession from a vehicle which was reported stolen on Wednesday, August 23. The vehicle was completely stripped after a visit to a chop shop. Makhavhu was arrested after the stolen vehicle’s tyres were found in his possession.
Local police spokesperson insp. Ndwamato Vele, says the tyres were found already fitted onto a 1400 bakkie.
Makhavhu appeared before the Tshilwavhusiku magistrate’s court on Friday, October 6. His case was postponed until Thursday, October 19. In the meantime, he was released on R500 bail.
