Several teams promoted to SAB league

The Safa Vhembe Regional association confirmed the names of the clubs which had been promoted from the local football associations to the SAB League this week.

According to the tournament officer of the association, Mr Mulalo Mafenya, only one team from Musina Local Football Association, Pine Stars FC, will be campaigning in the SAB League when the activities for the new season start.

Eight teams, viz. Tshaulu Ghetto Boys, Matsika Shooting Stars, Phaphazela Bayern Munich, Marula XI FC, Vhufuli Pull Together, Musasenda Big V, Thenzheni Liverpool and Tswinga Peace Makers, were promoted from the Thulamela Local Football Association.

The four teams from Mutale Local Football Association are: Maheni Devoted Vultures, Niani All Stars, Mbodi The Love Birds and Dzhanguluvhe FC. Makhado Local Football Association was still to submit the names of the clubs who had made the grade to the SAB League at the time of going to press.

The promoted clubs will be replacing those which were relegated to the lower division at the end of last season. Mr Mafenya confirmed the relegated clubs as Altein Reformed Squad (Stream A), Thembaluvhilo Seven Stars and Mudaswali United Brothers (Stream B), Maha Flying Gunners and Table New Comers (Stream C), Tswinga New Generations, Tshedza FC and Tshisaulu FC (Stream D), Vleifontein United (Stream E), Vyeboom FC, Masakona United, Lambani Giant Killers, Donkerhoek New Castle and Bokisi Happy Boys (Stream F), Vhulaudzi United Brothers and FJ Napoli (Stream G), Folovhodwe Stone Breakers, Dambale Manchester United (Stream H), Konanani FC Mianzwi Green Hornet and Matangari Settlers (Stream I).

Mafenya indicated that the kick-off date for the activities for the new season will be announced next week.
