Last Sunday was a memorable day for Madridtas FC. They were crowned the overall champions of the Safa Vhembe Regional Association after beating United Artists 7-6 in the final of the regional promotional play-offs match at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
Madridtas were presented with a floating trophy, R40 000 and gold medals during a ceremony at the stadium shortly after the final whistle. The runners-up, United Artists, received silver medals. Tshakhuma Na Ndilani FC, who finished in the third spot, were presented with bronze medals.
