Most of the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League will kick off their second-round league campaigns this weekend.
Real Mighty Ladies will count themselves lucky if they manage to hold log leaders Sinthumulekutama FC to a draw when the sides meet at the Sinthumule High School Grounds on Saturday. Sinthumulekutama currently top the standings with 21 points from seven matches and have yet to drop a single point. The Ramahantsha-based outfit have netted 30 goals and conceded just four, showing the strength and balance of their squad.
Mighty Ladies are one of several teams fighting for survival. They are in sixth position on seven points, just two ahead of bottom-placed Tshandama Young Stars.
Containing Sinthumulekutama's playmakers—Judy Baloyi, Lethabo Moloto and Zwavhudi Musetha—will be no easy task for the Mighty Ladies' defenders. Sinthumulekutama go into the clash with confidence, having hammered Sealene Ladies 4-0 away in Phalaborwa last weekend.
Tshandama Young Stars, who lost 1-0 to Rodadau FC last Saturday, face another uphill battle this weekend. They will host Masakona Liberty Experience at the Tshandama Grounds. Anything less than a win will push them further into the relegation zone.
Rodadau FC will travel to Phalaborwa to take on Sealene Ladies, while Univen FC, who drew 0-0 with Mighty Ladies last weekend, will host Sisters FC at the Univen Stadium.
Other fixtures include Golden Diamond Ladies vs Kanatla Ladies; Maindis Ladies vs Farm Girl Ladies; Toronto Ladies vs Ramatlaohle Ladies; University of Limpopo vs Marumo Gallants Development.
