With only eight matches remaining before the end of the current soccer season, teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League will go all out to snap up valuable points this weekend. Six matches will be played on Saturday afternoon, with the remaining two scheduled for Sunday.
All roads will lead to the Tshitungulwane Grounds in the Vuwani area on Saturday afternoon, where the much-awaited match between Rodadau FC and Sinthumulekutama FC will be played. The fact that Rodadau and Sinthumulekutama are closely contesting the league title is reason enough for local football fanatics to expect a thrilling game. Sinthumulekutama is currently leading the pack with 28 points, while the Tshitungulwane side is in the third spot with 22 points.
Both teams managed to collect maximum points in last weekend's matches, despite playing away from home. Rodadau beat Tshandama Young Stars 2-0 at the Tshandama Grounds, while Sinthumulekutama scored three goals and conceded two in their game against Lacoste Morning Stars at the Shayandima School Grounds.
Lacoste Morning Stars will travel to Ba-Phalaborwa to play against Sealene Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium. Merwe United Ladies will host Tshandama Young Stars at the Merwe Grounds in the Malamulele area. Merwe is still to win a league match this season, while Young Stars have managed to register only one victory in 10 outings. Real Mighty Ladies and Sisters FC will fight for league points at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani.
