When he released his last album, Matudzi Na Matula, in August 2024, musician Mushe Danken Sengadi - better known as Sledge Maro Mr Hustle - promised his fans that he was "cooking up a storm."
True to his word, the artist from Makhitha in the Kutama area has once again delivered a masterpiece, setting the music industry ablaze with his brand-new album, Tshihumbudzi.
The album follows the success of his hit single My Guitar, which was dedicated to lovers on Valentine's Day. It was recorded at his own studio, Sledge Maro Productions.
"The album consists of 11 tracks, spanning different genres. My standout tracks include Ndiya Vhurwa, Thabelo Yanga (featuring Texbee), and Mutakalo (featuring Kenny Kaunda and Texbee)," he said. He described the project as a "mixed masala" for his fans.
"I intentionally included a variety of genres because I don't want to leave any of my fans out. Everyone is invited to enjoy this musical feast. This is my birthday treat, and I want everyone to celebrate with me," he added.
He further explained that Tshihumbudzi means leaving a lasting impression on people's lives.
"It's about creating something memorable - something people will always remember you for. This album is for everyone - adults, youth, and children alike. They can relate to it and dance to the music," said Sledge Maro.
The album will be available on all digital music platforms from Friday, 4 April.
