Mushe Danken Sengadi, better known as Sledge Maro Mr Hustle, has bounced back in a big way with a new hit single and music video.
The musician from Makhitha Hakutama, outside Louis Trichardt, released the sizzling dance track Asi Muthu Ndi Tokolotshi on 27 November. The self-produced song, written by Sledge Maro himself and recorded at Sledge Maro Productions, came shortly after his EP Nditshehone, which appeared on 20 October. The single was released simultaneously with its music video.
Sledge Maro said the song was inspired by his observations and experiences in life. "Asi Muthu Ndi Tokolotshi is about friendship. I am advising everyone: love and respect your friends, but never fully trust them. Friends can be our enemies—they may not want to see you succeed while they are struggling. Friendship can breed jealousy, betrayal, or even worse if one is thriving and others are failing. This is my humble advice to anyone who wants to listen: watch out for the people around you," he said.
He also explained the simultaneous release of the single and video.
"This is a Christmas bonus for my fans. They supported me throughout the year, and there is no better way to thank them. Some prefer only the audio, while others enjoy the video, so I decided to give them the full package," Sledge Maro said.
Sledge Maro began his music career with his debut album My 21st Album in April 2021. This was followed by Matudzi Na Matula in August 2024, Tshihumbudzi in April 2025, and the EP Nditshehone in October 2025, which featured hits such as Sfebe and O Shanduka. In between, he released several singles.
The new single Asi Muthu Ndi Tokolotshi is currently available on YouTube and will be released on all digital platforms on 20 December.
