With only one match to wrap up their league activities for the season, Black Leopards are still not sure of taking part in the prestigious BP Top 8 KO Competition next season.

THOHOYANDOU – With only one match to wrap up their league activities for the season, Black Leopards are still not sure of taking part in the prestigious BP Top 8 KO Competition next season.

Their deciding match will be against Wits University, whom they will meet at the Milpark Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday, April 26.

Although playing to a draw against the Clever Students will also see them taking part in the competition, it will not be easy for them when one takes into account the fact that Wits need all the possible six points in order to qualify for the competition.

Wits will play their final fixture against Orlando Pirates at the Johannesburg Stadium on May 1. Although Kaizer Chiefs are currently lying in the tenth position, they still stand a chance of being counted among the Top 8 teams at the end of the season. Chiefs still have four crucial matches to play. They will take on Jomo Cosmos at the Mmabatho Stadium in North West on Sunday. Next weekend, April 27, will see them locking horns with Hellenic at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the same province.

Their match against Free State Stars will be played at the Ellispark Stadium on April 30. Chiefs will entertain Orlando Pirates in their last fixture for the season at the FNB Stadium on May 4.

Free State Stars have an outside chance of booking a place in the competition. They must win their remaining two matches with Wits University losing their last two fixtures, while Chiefs must also lose two of their remaining four matches in order to give the team from the Free State a chance.
