The head coach of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM), Mr Johnny Ferreira, strongly believes that something is missing in his team. During an interview with him shortly after his team's 1-2 defeat at the hands of Platinum City Rovers in their Motsepe Foundation Championship League game, which was played at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, the 65-year-old mentor said that he could not understand why his team had suffered such an embarrassing defeat as they had been controlling the game.

Ferreira said that two of their new players from Royal AM had not given their best in the game. He was, however, not blaming the two players for the defeat and said one simply had to accept that the team's efforts had not been good enough.

He said that the team's performance was improving, but that he would be working on the players' fitness and target shooting in the coming two weeks while other teams would be engaged in their Nedbank Cup KO Competition campaigns.

Mr Ferreira's counterpart from City Rovers, Mr Tesco Macheke, said that his team was on the right track. He reckoned that for them to be able to collect the full points away from home was a clear indication that they were serious about promotion.

Vhadau Vha Damani were the first to find the net on Saturday. Issa Sarr headed home after a corner kick that was taken by Thokozile Nkabinde. The visitors from Potchefstroom fought back three minutes before the referee blew the half-time whistle. Tshepo Malope hooked in the ball after a scramble within the box. Malope completed his brace with a header in the dying minutes of the game.
