Sparks are expected to fly during the prestigious Sinthumule/Kutama Easter tournament at the Tshiozwi grounds on Saturday and Easter Monday. Eight teams will participate in the tournament.

Mauluma All Stars and Zamenkomste Liverpool will meet at 10:00. A tough battle is expected when Madombidzha Celtic and Madombidzha Western Stars take on each other in the next game.

Tshiozwi Dynamos, the current champions of the festive tournament, will fight for a place in the next stage of the tournament with Madodonga TAB All Stars.

Dynamos' captain, Mpho Mavhandu, said that they were likely to win the match, considering the fact that it will be against their hoodoo team. He said that they could not underestimate their opponents, although they play in a lower division. This match will start at 12:00.

Tebogo Ratshivhungula, the manager of Stars, said that they respected Dynamos, but in this match Dynamos had to forget about a victory. "We want to show them that we can match any team," he said.

In the last match of the first round, Maelula New Mates will play against Tshikota Chelsea.

According to the PRO of Sinthumule/Kutama Community Sport Development, Mr Elvis "Parks" Phathela, the main aim of the tournament is to develop young players.

Phathela said that the winner of the tournament would receive R 3000, a floating trophy, gold medals, a soccer ball and new soccer kit. The runners-up will receive R2 000, silver medals, a ball and a new soccer kit. The third prize will be R750, a ball and bronze medals.

The four teams beaten in the first matches will go home with R100 each and a soccer ball.
