The sport stars and best acacemic performers of Benny's Care Sports Academy received awards for their achievements during a ceremony at Tshiozwi a fortnight ago.
"Sport is an important vehicle to cause harmonious interaction between people," said the guest speaker and former Soutpansberg West circuit manager of education, Mr Johaness Ramuedzisi. He added that he was proud of the quality of sports development that was taking place at Benny's Care.
He indicated that all the youths must involve themselves in different sporting codes. Sport and education are the key to the future of our youth, he said. He requested the youth to stay away from crime and alcohol and be aware of the threat of HIV/Aids.
He also urged teachers to work very hard and to further their studies. "Teachers should be proud of their profession and the work they are doing in order to restore the dignity of their profession," he said.
