Several teams received fines and forfeited league points after appearing before the SAFA Vhembe League's disciplinary committee last week to face charges of misconduct. The charges included incidents of violent behaviour, the abandonment of matches and assaults on match officials.

Maraxwe Home Boys were fined R10,000 for assaulting the referee and causing the abandonment of their match against Makonde FC. The fine must be paid within 30 days. Two of Home Boys' players, Surprise Rathogwa and Mukhethwa Bele, were also suspended for six matches for assaulting a match official.

The heaviest fine was levied on Shonisani FC. They were found guilty of assaulting the referee and causing the abandonment of their match against Duthuni Try Again. They were also charged with malicious damage to property. Shonisani FC were fined R10,000 and forfeited three points to Try Again. They were also ordered to pay R4,800 for damaging the referee's watch.

Madimbo FC were found guilty of failing to provide an alternative soccer kit in their match against Berea FC. They were fined R2,000 and forfeited the league points.

Makhitha Oscar Stars were found guilty of assaulting and threatening to shoot the referee during their match against Ramantsha Blackpool, which led to the abandonment of the game. They were fined R8,000 and forfeited three points to Blackpool.

Pfananani United received a fine of R2,000 for the indirect abandonment of a match by failing to provide players' registration cards in their fixture against Bokisi Scientist. They forfeited three league points to their opponents.

Berea FC were found not guilty of fielding a player who was accused of being improperly registered in their match against Musina All Stars. The result of the game stands.

Mphego Real Rovers appeared before the DC to answer a charge of indirectly abandoning their league match against Manamani City when they refused to continue playing. They left the field without the referee's permission. They were fined R2,000 and forfeited the league points to their opponents.
