Things are fast moving from bad to worse in the camp of Maindis Ladies FC. The team suffered another humiliating defeat in front of their home crowd when they lost 0-4 to TS Galaxy Queens in their Hollywoodbets Super League match that was played at the Giyani Stadium last Saturday. The defeat was the 11th for the Bungeni side in 13 matches this season.
Whether they will resurrect from the grave and manage to collect full points this weekend is something that remains to be seen. Maindis Ladies will travel to Pretoria on Sunday afternoon. Their match against the University of Pretoria FC will take place at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
While Maindis are still battling to come to terms with their defeat against TS Galaxy, the University of Pretoria students are in the right frame of mind. They are still in a joyous mood after beating Richmond United 2-1 at the Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberley last Saturday. Maindis' goalkeeper, Theledi Monnye, will have it tough against the sharp strikers of University of Pretoria, while Tswarelo Digaota and Hilda Xaba will be expected to keep the fire burning in the middle of the park.
Coal City Wizards will host Durban Ladies at the Puma Rugby Stadium in Emalahleni. The City Wizards are also fighting for survival. JVW FC will fly to Cape Town, where they will play against University of the Western Cape FC at the UWC Campus Stadium. TUT Ladies FC will host Richmond United at the TUT Campus Stadium.
The match between Thunderbirds Ladies and Royal AM will be played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Royal AM are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. They brutally crushed University of Johannesburg Ladies 5-0 last Saturday. The other fixtures are Copper Belts vs City Lads, TS Galaxy Queens vs First Touch Academy and University of Johannesburg vs Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
