Monday night was a hectic one in Nzhelele as unknown thieves embarked on a spate of burglaries at a school and the post office.
On Tuesday morning, teachers and learners from the Tshamakwatini secondary school in Mavhunga village learnt with shock of the burglary when they arrived at school.
Unknown suspects had allegedly broken into the school, ransacked the staff room and fled with laptops.
In another incident at the same village at the Mungomani Post Office, three suspects allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of money at 16:00 on Monday and vanished into thin air.
While police are still to confirm the incident at the school, they indicated that three unknown men were involved in the incident at the Post Office.
"At the Post Office, the victim alleged that he was on duty at about 16:00 when he saw three suspects entering through the fence," said provincial police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.
"Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects can contact the crime stop number 0860010111 or the crime Line SMS 32211 or the nearest police station," he said.
