Gospel sensation, mentor, and motivational speaker, Psalmist Takie Ndou says he is fired up for his forthcoming live performance during the Phalaphala FM Royal Gardens Gospel Festival.
Ndou, who is fresh from his live recording, "The Glory," will soon be releasing the final single for the album. He is tipped to be one of the star performers during the Royal Gardens Gospel Festival, which takes place at Agape City at Hamangilasi on 13 September.
Ndou has been part of the lineup since the festival's inception ten years ago. During the official announcement of the lineup in Thohoyandou last Friday, he did an impromptu performance that left the fans warmed up and in anticipation.
"It is always humbling to perform at home. We do lots of shows outside our province, Limpopo, but when one is called to do duty at home, we take the home-ground advantage and do the extraordinary. I am already fired up for the event, and I promise the best performance ever," he says.
Ndou says he will showcase and unpack his music journey. He will be performing some of his early all-time hits. "And those in attendance will also be part of the selected ones who will have the privilege to see me perform songs from my new album for the first time. I will be accompanied by a well-polished live band for that matter," he says.
Ndou's live recording, "The Glory," was at Carnival City's Big Top Arena and was held on 20 April. Since the recording, he has been releasing single after single as a build-up to a full album to be released soon.
The acclaimed gospel singer released the last of the singles, titled "Miracle", last week. On this one, he features another gospel sensation, Khaya Mthethwa.
