Unlike most musicians whose journeys begin in churches or school choirs, singer and songwriter Ngwaniwapo Wazwothe Netshivhale found her voice quietly, deep within herself. She could hear it - soft, beautiful - but for a long time, lacked the courage to let others hear it too.

Now performing under the stage name Taylor Gal, the 25-year-old singer from Dzwerani in Lwamondo began her creative journey by writing poems.

"It was one fateful day when I was 10, and my dad, Mr Thilifhedzi Ewert Netshivhale, asked me to sing one of my poems while he played his guitar. I sang that poem, and that beautiful voice finally came out, getting rid of my fears," she said.

From then on, she often sang while her father accompanied her on guitar.

Taylor's music career took its first steps in 2022, when she met producer De Nax and was featured on his album Ndi Funa Mapiano. "I started releasing singles with him, and the songs began playing on local radio stations," she recalled.

Her breakthrough came in early 2025, when she met popular DJ and producer Ramzin, who featured her on his album Vharunwa on the track Khano Yanga. Their chemistry was evident, and the response inspired them to collaborate further.

They recently released a single titled Lwendo, which is receiving strong support and growing recognition.

"Lwendo is a journey," said Taylor Gal. "Every single one of us who is breathing is on a journey. But we encounter obstacles, challenges, and hardships along the way. Some of us are hungry and starving. Some are dizzy. Others are thirsty and lonely, walking through a dry desert, feeling all alone. We no longer enjoy the rain when it falls because we are so dry and cold. We're shivering and hopeless in this journey."

Ramzin described Lwendo as a reflection on life's struggles. "People are touched by our soulful melody - spiritual and emotional music. Everyone is in love with our combination, and we are very grateful for the support we've received since the release of Lwendo. This is just the beginning; there's more beautiful music to come. Stay tuned," he said.
