Thirty-two teams are ready to compete in the Thovhele NTL Mashamba soccer tournament, which kicks off on Saturday. This is one of the richest tournaments in the district, with R70,000 in prize money for the winning team.
Matches will take place at two venues in Mashamba over the weekend.
At Ground A, the opening fixture at 08:30 will see Madombidzha Try Again face Mpheni Academy. At 10:30, Saudi FC will clash with Vhembe Tron, followed by a 12:30 match between Maelula United Brothers and Bush River. The final fixture of the day will see Koki FC take on Mukondeni Shooting Stars at 14:30.
At Ground B, Ramantsha Blackpool will meet Ngwenani Young Chiefs at 08:30. At 10:30, Mashamba Soccer Academy will face SMSA FC, followed by a 12:30 match between FC Rellen and Masakona Real Citizen. Mukondeni Young Chiefs will play Chavani Shining Stars at 14:30.
On Sunday, the matches on Ground A are as follows:
Mashau Pull Together vs Goo Record Breakers (08:30); Makhitha Oscar Stars vs Magau United (10:30); Muwaweni Lucky Stars vs Bokisi Scientist (12:30); Thema Royals vs Eagles United (14:30).
Sunday's fixtures at Ground B are:
Malamulele Royal Classic vs Mphadzha Try Again (08:30); Mulindathavha Oscar Swallows vs Madadzhi Eversmiling Stars (10:30); Shayandima Dynamos vs AC Milan (12:30); Tshilwani Stone Breakers vs Sekgosese FC (14:30).
