Musangwe (bare-knuckle fist fighting) enthusiasts in Vhembe are gearing up for the ultimate showdown as the region's top fighters face off at Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday, 30 November.
The event, hosted by the Musangwe Official Championship, will feature several highly anticipated bouts. Among the fighters set to clash is Cena, the undisputed and reigning champion at Tshifudi, who will take on hardened opponent Noko.
Another top fighter, Ngwazi, is set to trade blows with Chenge, while Timer will face King Lion. Boyka will battle Rocky, Tshinandala will go head-to-head with Tshikhavhelo, and Killer will fight Bunny Wailler. The lineup also includes a surprise fight, featuring two mystery competitors.
Musangwe Official Championship spokesperson Mr Freedom Malivhoho described the event as unmissable. "The lineup is tantalising, as you can see. All these fighters have their own legacies, and they'll give it their all to prove they're the best. We've spared no effort in preparing for this event. We chose the stadium to ensure everyone attending can comfortably watch the fights from seated areas. Unlike in the traditional setting, where women aren't allowed, this event will give them the rare opportunity to witness men exchanging blows," he said.
Malivhoho noted that this event followed the success of the championship held on 27 July at the same venue.
"We're giving our fighters a platform to showcase their talents to the world. Fighters won't leave empty-handed as they will be financially rewarded. This is an event not to be missed.
