The mother of all NFD battles

The much-awaited NFD League clash between the Vhembe-based outfits, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Black Leopards, will be played at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).

The much-awaited NFD League clash between the Vhembe-based outfits, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Black Leopards, will be played at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).

A quick glance at the track records of the two sides reveals that they failed to impress their enthusiastic supporters in their last two matches. TTM lost 1-3 to Richards Bay FC, before sharing the spoils with Witbank Spurs (2-2) at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

Black Leopards played to a goalless draw with Real Kings at the Thohoyandou Stadium before they played to another goalless draw with Cape Town All Stars.

According to the Leopards' head coach, Mr Jean Losciuto, they have used the past two weeks to tighten all their loose ends, saying his charges were sharpened to kill. His counterpart in the TTM camp, Mr Sello Chokoe, is adamant that nothing will stop them from collecting the maximum points at the expense of Lidoda Duvha tomorrow.

Leopards' defence will find it hard to stop TTM's fast forwards, Lifa Hlongwane, Aluwani "Killer" Nedzamba and Mpambaniso Monde. On the other hand, Leopards' strikers, Mwape Musonda, Thembi Nevhulamba and Ivan Mahangwahaya, are expected to knock on TTM's door time after time from the first whistle to the bitter end.

The other NFD match that is expected to attract a huge number of spectators will be between Stellenbosch FC and Richards Bay FC. The other fixtures are: Cape Town All Stars vs Jomo Cosmos, Royal Eagles vs Mthatha Bucks, Uthongathi FC vs Witbank Spurs, Super Eagles vs Pretoria University, Real Kings vs Highlands Park and Ubuntu Cape Town vs Mbombela United.
