The two teams that have been fighting for the league honours during the past months are Dynamos of Giyani and Bloemfontein Celtic. Dynamos are leading the pack with 48 points after playing 22 matches. Celtic, or Phunyacelecele, as they were called in their heydays, are in the second spot, five points behind the pace setters. They have played the same number of matches.
Silver Stars are shining in the third place with 42 points. Their advantage is that they have played a match less than the top two teams. Winning their outstanding fixture will push them to the second spot.
Pietersburg City Pillars are at present in the fourth spot. City Pillars are out of the race, as they currently have 38 points in hand. Mabopane Young Masters and Thembisa City Sharks are in the next two positions with 37 points each.
Bloemfontein Young Tigers and Welkom Stars are behind them with 35 and 31 points respectively.
African Wanderers are still on top of the log in the Coastal Stream. They have 41 points in their credit accumulated from 19 matches. Avendale Athletico are following with three points behind. Park United who were on top at the beginning of the season have dropped to the third spot.
