The Thulamela Local Municipality is in mourning, following the passing away of a dedicated councillor, Ms Matodzi Mulaudzi of Mavhunda village outside Thohoyandou.
Mulaudzi (60), a PR councillor, passed away on Monday after a long illness.
The mayor of Thulamela, Cllr Avhashoni Tshifhango, described her as a dedicated councillor. "She used to unite us as councillors and always took any job without questioning it. Mulaudzi was also a disciplined cadre in the ANC," said Tshifhango.
She left four children, Nditsheni, Khathutshelo, Mulalo and Tendamudzimu, and will be buried on Saturday at Mavhunda village cemetery. The funeral proceedings will start at 06: 30.
