Makana Godzwana, better known as Tippy in the music industry, has proven that he is not just a one-hit wonder.
When Tippy released his first hit single "Azwimbavhi" (featuring Romeo ThaGreatwhite and Fortunator) in 2020, which is the title song for his first full album released the same year, critics predicted that he would not go beyond this success. However, the 21-year-old from Ha-Mandiwana in Nzhelele had other ideas and released another hit, "Anaconda," in April of the same year. The song quickly gained popularity and silenced his haters.
Earlier this year, Tippy released his third successful single, titled "Yanga Mbilu" (featuring Easy SA and Mizo Phyll), and while his fans were still enjoying this song, he dropped yet another banger, titled "Asi zwanga" (featuring Easy SA and Geenkon).
Tippy credits his big brother, Tendani Godzwana, also known as LeonSV, as his inspiration. He started singing in 2012 after losing his mom, using music to express his feelings during that painful time. His brother's small home studio provided him with the opportunity to write something in her memory, and his singing career began.
Tippy is determined to ensure that artists from Nzhelele are taken seriously in the music industry and get airplay on television.
