A case of murder, attempted murder and robbery has been opened following the fatal shooting of a 59-year-old traditional leader at Ndarieni, Ha-Makhuvha village, in the Thulamela municipal area. The victim has been identified as Khosi Thaimbiwi Ntikedzeni Makhuvha.
According to initial information, the incident occurred early on Monday, 2 March, when unknown suspects allegedly shot and killed the senior traditional leader. His daughter was also shot during the attack and sustained injuries. She survived and is receiving medical treatment.
Limpopo police said the suspects fled the scene in a Toyota Hilux (registration number FVN 938L), taking a laptop, a television set and two cellular phones.
