Tributes pour in after sudden death of Vhamusanda Tshabuse

Tributes honor Vhamusanda Madadzhe Tshabuse, traditional leader of Dzingahe village, who passed away at 62. Remembered as a "people's person" who championed education and community development, he will receive a royal funeral on 25 April.

Tributes continue to pour in for the late Vhamusanda Madadzhe Tshabuse (62), the traditional leader of Dzingahe village near Ngudza, who died at Tshilidzini Hospital on 17 April after a short illness.

Vhavenda Vho Thetshelesani Tshabuse said the clan and the community in Ngudza were shocked by his sudden passing after only three years of rule. He described the late leader as a people’s person who loved his clan and the Dzingahe community, always striving to develop his village.

“He used to visit local schools, encouraging learners to take education seriously, handing over school uniforms to needy learners and also donating soccer kits to the local team,” said Tshabuse.

According to Tshabuse, plans are in place to give the late Vhamusanda Tshabuse, a former soldier, a royal funeral on 25 April at the local sports ground. He will later be buried in a sacred place (zwiendelulu).

Vhamusanda Tshabuse was the only traditional leader in the clan. His three-year rule pales in comparison with that of his late father, Vhamusanda Mmbangiseni Tshabuse, who ruled the clan for 62 years.
