Teams campaigning under the banner of the ABC Motsepe League in the Limpopo stream will play their Nedbank Cup group-stage matches this Saturday. The matches will take place at three different venues — Homu Stadium, Old Peter Mokaba Stadium and Nkowankowa Stadium.
Vondwe XI Bullets will face Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) in one of the three matches at Homu Stadium outside Giyani. TTM remain something of a closed book. Vhadau vha Damani, as they are affectionately known, bought their ABC Motsepe League franchise from Maruleng Celtics last month.
Beating XI Bullets will not be an easy task for TTM if Bullets' performance in last Saturday's game against Musina United at Makonde Stadium is anything to go by. Bullets beat United 1-0, although the score was not a true reflection of the game as Bullets were dominant throughout.
The head coach of Bullets, Mr Ndamulelo Ratshivhadelo, said they would not underestimate TTM. He added that he knew TTM had several former professional players in their camp.
In other matches, Mpheni Defenders will host Lebash Football Academy. Defenders beat The Dolphins FC 3-0 in their preliminary-round match at Ben Serake Stadium in Senwabarwana to secure a place in the group stage.
Mukondeni Young Chiefs will lock horns with Tzaneen United, who beat Baduzah Celtics 2-1 to book their group-stage spot. Nkowankowa Continentals will battle it out against Phalaborwa United, who beat Selwana White Vultures 1-0 in their preliminary-round match last Saturday.
