Drivers travelling from Musina towards Louis Trichardt should turn left onto the R523 at Wylliespoort, continue along the R523, then turn right at Tshikombani and follow Witvlag Road to rejoin the N1.

Motorists travelling from Louis Trichardt towards Musina should exit the N1 via Witvlag Road, continue to the R523 at Tshikombani, and follow the R523 to Wylliespoort before rejoining the N1 northbound.

The department has urged motorists to exercise caution, follow the instructions of law enforcement officers at the scene and allow extra travelling time while the recovery operation is under way.
