Tsetse Fly vows to knock out opponent in Youth Day bout

Local boxing sensation Rofhiwa "Tsetse Fly" Nemushungwa has vowed to knock out Chilyboy Ntshili when they meet during the Youth Day Boxing Tournament, scheduled to take place at the Victory Theatre in Johannesburg on 16 June.

Nemushungwa last fought in April this year, when he defeated Mxolisi Sibiya at the Malamulele Boxing Gym.

Speaking to the Limpopo Mirror last week, Nemushungwa said he intended to knock out Ntshili. The boxer from Tshifudi village in the Vhembe District said he no longer relied on the judges' decisions as he had been a victim of poor judging for some time. He added that he was still furious about being "robbed" of the national title during his 2022 bout against the late Edward Malindi.

"Now, every boxer I face will have to pay for what the judges did to me. Sibiya was the first victim of my comeback strategy," he said.

When asked if he knew anything about his opponent's record, he confidently responded that he did. "I've watched some of his previous fights, and I know his strengths and weaknesses. I'm definitely going to knock him out before the fourth round," he said.

Nemushungwa also expressed hope that his next fight would take place in the Vhembe District. "I would love to fight in front of my home fans. If I win the South African boxing championship, my first title defence must be at home in the Vhembe District," he said.
