The 19-year-old Tshifhiwa Maphosa was crowned as Miss Musina centenary, during a beauty pageant which was held at the Musina Venetia Mine Recreational Hall on Saturday evening.

MUSINA - The 19-year-old Tshifhiwa Maphosa was crowned as Miss Musina centenary, during a beauty pageant which was held at the Musina Venetia Mine Recreational Hall on Saturday evening.

Thirteen beautiful girls and ten handsome men vied for the title. The queen went home with R800 cash, a R1 000 voucher from Spar Musina, a bursary from Musina Municipality and a hairdressing voucher.

The first princess, Elizabeth Sivhali, received R500 and a R750 voucher from Spar. Sana Makubasela was chosen as the second princess and went home with R300 cash and a voucher of R500.

The 19-year-old Jan Tlou was crowned as king and he received R800 in cash, a bursary from the municipality, R1 000 voucher and a hairdressing voucher. Prince Mokoane and Gift Mashule obtained the title of first and second prince respectively. The first prince won R500 cash and voucher of R750 from Spar and the 2nd prince received R300 cash and a voucher of R500 from Spar.

The queen, Tshifhiwa Maphosa, said that it is her ambition to become a medical doctor and she wants to register at Medunsa when she completes Grade 12.

The king, Jan Tlou, said he wants to become an IT manger.
