Tshiozwi Dynamos hammered the high-riding Tshikhwani Stone Breakers 5-2 in an MMK Administrators League match at the Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.
The match started 40 minutes minutes late as the referee who was supposed to officiate match did not arrive and the referee selector, Mr George Musekwa, took the whistle.
Dynamos showed a spirit of commitment from the onset, with their midfielders creating chances for their striking force. Aubrey Hamisi of Breakers received a well-cooked pass from Silas Rambona, but hesitated for too long until one of the defenders of Dynamos poached the ball. Dynamos squandered an opportunity in the seventh minute when Mashudu Nengovhela shot aimlessly from the goal mouth. Murendeni Tshidada committed a similar blunder moments later. The half-time score was still 0-0.
Mpho Mavhandu of Dynamos opened the scoring after he beat several defenders. Their celebration was cut short when Rudzani Mulaudzi equalised. Mpho Netshiendeulu then hit the back of the net and Nyathi increased the margin from the 18m area in the 73rd minute, making the score 3-1.
Dynamos' keeper, Vhuthu Netshiomvani, made countless breathtaking saves, bringing stability to his team. In the 76th minute, Muhangwi Mukosi of Dynamos received a pass from the centre line. He pretended that he wanted to dish out a pass to the advancing Matodzi Maruli but kept the ball, beat the defence and released a hard shot into the net.
Lesley Thonga of Dynamos was reprimanded in the 78th minute. He tackled Sydney Mashau from behind and the referee was lenient enough to let him go with a yellow card.
Matodzi Maruli completed his brace and scored the fifth goal of his team. A defender of the visitors mistakenly passed the ball to him and he scored easily.
Ronewa Ratshilingana scored Breakers' second goal in the dying minutes.
