Many local soccer fans will gather at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon for the NFD match between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Witbank Spurs.
For TTM, winning the match is very important because they are closely contesting for the league championship. TTM are currently lying in the second position on the log with 16 points, one behind Stellenbosch FC.
Both TTM and Witbank Spurs shared the spoils with their opponents in their matches last weekend. TTM played to a 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch FC, while Witbank Spurs drew 0-0 with TS Sporting.
TTM will be without their right back, Happy Mashau, tomorrow. He was given his marching orders in their game against Stellenbosch FC last Friday afternoon. Patrick Meso, who was out of action in their last two matches, is likely to be Mashau's placeholder.
The TTM midfielders, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, Onyedikachi Ononogbu and Khunadi Nkoana, are expected to distribute some dangerous passes to the strikers from the onset.
After losing 0-1 to Uthongathi FC last weekend, Ajax Cape Town will host Real Kings at the Cape Town Stadium. Royal Eagles will play in front of their home crowd when they host Maccabi FC at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.
The match of the week will be between University of Pretoria and Stellenbosch FC at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria. Stellenbosch are leading the pack, while University of Pretoria are in the third spot.
